Logan Rainey

Principal

Mr. Rainey has nearly 15 years of Oil & Gas experience with an expertise in Land. Prior to co-founding Blue River Resources, he formed Silver Oak Natural Resources in 2016 to consult, manage or invest in various leasehold or mineral projects. Silver Oak has been involved with numerous public and privately backed funds as well as family offices to lead A&D efforts in building over $175mm in top tier positions in the Mid-Con and West Texas region.  Prior to forming Silver Oak, Mr. Rainey helped launch American Energy – Minerals, LLC (“AEMN”) in 2014 ($500mm commitment from the Energy & Minerals Group).  At AEMN, Mr. Rainey led the Land/Business Development efforts to source and acquire ~80,000 net acres of minerals and overrides through ~400 individual transactions deploying ~$400mm in less than 18 months to build a top tier position across the Permian Basin, Utica, Marcellus, STACK/SCOOP and CNOW plays. Prior to AEMN, Mr. Rainey held numerous roles in Land and Business Development at Chesapeake Energy generating and fostering a network from countless private and public companies across most basins in the US. Mr. Rainey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Tyler Beaver

Principal

Mr. Beaver has nearly 20 years of Oil & Gas experience with an expertise in Land. Prior to co-founding Blue River Resources, he formed White Oak Resources in 2018 to consult, manage or invest in various leasehold or mineral projects.  White Oak has been involved in various projects alongside many public and private oil and gas companies, and multiple Oklahoma City and Dallas family offices.  Prior to White Oak, Mr. Beaver held the position of Vice President-Land at 89 Energy from 2016-2018 ($250mm commitment from NGP Energy Capital), before 89 he was the Vice President-Land at American Energy Non-Op from 2014-2016 ($500mm from the Energy & Minerals Group), before AENO  he held the title of Senior Landman at Chesapeake Energy from 2003-2014, most notably acquiring and managing 100,000 net acres as well as a $2B development program in the Eagleford.  During his career, Mr. Beaver has led teams that have built, developed and managed several acreage positions from the ground up, acquiring ~200,000 net leasehold and mineral acres, and drilling ~250 wells across the Eagleford, Haynesville, Merge, SCOOP, STACK, and Permian plays.  Mr. Beaver holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Nazarene University.

Dallas Vanderford

Project Manager

Mr. Vanderford has nearly 15 years of Oil and Gas experience with an expertise in Land.  Prior to joining Blue River Resources, he worked as a Project Manager for RedSky Land, LLC for 14 years where he managed all daily aspects of project operations for crews up to 40 agents as well as led in-person meetings with clients (varied from majors to small independents).  Mr. Vanderford’s work experience varies from management of leasing, title and suspense/curative projects, management of large or small-scale due diligences to interest only lease or mineral acquisition, and led mineral title and curative research training.  In addition to management, Mr. Vanderford has performed efforts including lease acquisitions, metes and bounds mineral title, township and range mineral title, division order related tasks, HBP title, runsheets, curative, due diligence for acquisitions, and state lease auctions (Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Pennsylvania, North Dakota and West Virginia).  Mr. Vanderford holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biology/Biological Sciences from Northeastern State University. 

Tyler Grimmett

Project Manager

Mr. Grimmett has nearly 15 years of Oil & Gas experience with an expertise in Land. Prior to joining Blue River Resources, he was a Prospect Manager at Turner Oil and Gas Properties, Inc. for 7 years where he managed numerous title, leasing and drilling projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Ohio, New Mexico and Pennsylvania. In 2017, he joined Peak Energy, LLC where he managed its mineral and royalty buying program for 5 years that was responsible for acquiring nearly 15,000 net acres in Oklahoma’s Merge and SCOOP plays, totaling $200mm, one the most, if not the most active mineral buying programs in Midcon from 2017-2020. Mr. Grimmett holds Bachelor’s degrees in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma and currently sits on the Board of Directors at Pauls Valley National Bank.

Austin Beeler

Project Manager

Mr. Beeler has nearly 20 years of Oil & Gas experience with an expertise in Land.  Prior to joining Blue River Resources, he worked as a private Land Consultant starting in 2019 for several small private equity and family mineral groups. During that time, he managed multiple acquisition projects in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Ohio. These projects included management of buying/leasing programs, contract negotiation, title due diligence, and division order administration. Prior to consulting, he project-managed for Haggard Land Company for seven years, managing all daily aspects of project operations for crews across the country for several large E&P Companies and smaller independents. Mr. Beeler’s experience covers a variety of different focus areas from leasing and leasehold acquisitions, HBP title and curative projects, to division order and Oklahoma Corporation Commission/Ohio Department of Natural Resources/Texas Railroad Commission tasks. Mr. Beeler project-managed for Turner Oil and Gas the seven previous years. His final two years at Turner he worked for Antero Resources in the Utica Shale, managing a crew that grew from 10 people to 200+ and assisting Antero in acquiring over 100,000 acres by way of large public lease signings, small and large operator negotiations and assignments, working with local leaders and landowner groups, and preparing investor related presentations while Antero successfully went public. Mr. Beeler worked in the following states: Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wyoming and North Dakota. Mr. Beeler began his Oil & Gas career with an 18-month land internship with Chesapeake Energy while attending the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma.

Tanner Rainey

Project Manager

Mr. Rainey has nearly 7 years of Oil and Gas experience with an expertise in Land. Prior to joining Blue River Resources, he worked for Calcutta Land, LLC from 2015 through 2019, when the company then merged with Needham Energy Land Services, LLC. As a part of the Calcutta/Needham team, Mr. Rainey preformed numerous tasks that included running mineral and leasehold ownership reports throughout the state of Oklahoma, mineral and lease buying in the SCOOP and Stack plays and managing a mineral acquisition project in Oklahoma & Arkansas. He also assisted on a leasehold acquisitions project covering over 150 sections throughout the Merge play & acquiring over 2,000 acres. In the spring of 2020, Mr. Rainey joined Baseline Minerals, LLC as a Mineral & Leasehold Acquisition. In his short time there, he acquired roughly 500 acres in the STACK. Mr. Rainey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lubbock Christian University.
